  • Ability to effectively handle sensitive and challenging situations involving students
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, teachers, parents, and staff
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently and assume responsibility without direct supervision
  • Ability to prioritize work and follow oral and written instructions
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Valid Virginia Teaching License
  • Successful completion of FBI Criminal History Investigation
  • Successful completion of State Police Criminal History Investigation
  • Successful completion of Child Protective Services (CPS) Investigation
  • Successful completion of Tuberculosis Screening/Test
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods; use a telephone and computer terminal; see/read screens and printed material; hear and speak clearly
  • Physical agility to lift up to 25 lbs., bend, stoop, sit on the floor, climb stairs, walk, and reach overhead
