Job summary

ARCO Companies seeks a Project Manager in Downers Grove, IL to own and drive complex construction projects from design through completion. You’ll collaborate with clients and design teams to refine scope, budgets, and schedules, while guiding subcontractors and vendors to meet milestones.

The role emphasizes strong budgeting, contract negotiation, and on-site leadership, with a performance-based bonus potential and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of construction management and/or engineering design experience.
• Experience leading design/build industrial, cold storage, food & beverage, advanced manufacturing, or data center projects preferred.
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget with clients/design team.
• Negotiate contracts & fees and review scope with clients.
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout for trades and vendors.
• Track project performance vs budget and prepare pay applications and progress billing reports.
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings and on-site project reviews.
