Job summary

Per Se Group is seeking a Turnaround Mechanical Engineer for a 2–2.5 year on-site contract with per diem embedded with a major refinery’s turnaround planning team. You’ll clear RFIs, interpret piping specs, develop torque tags and pipe spec forms, managing roughly 1,500 maintenance-driven jobs to prevent stalls.

You should have a mechanical engineering degree and 3–5 years of industrial turnaround experience; you’ll work independently, communicating clearly while coordinating with 10–15 planners

Per Se Group is placing a dedicated Mechanical Engineer embedded directly with major oil refiner’s major turnaround planning team through their 2028 TA cycle. This is a 2–2.5 year on-site contract with per diem. You’ll work alongside 10–15 planners as their go-to engineering resource — clearing RFIs, interpreting piping specs, developing torque tags and pipe spec forms, and keeping roughly 1,500 maintenance‑driven jobs from stalling on engineering questions. Their staff engineers are good but just stretched thin. You’re the dedicated resource that fills that gap.

You’re probably a fit if
