Job summary

AdvanSix in Chester, VA is seeking a Maintenance Planner to plan and schedule maintenance activities for an assigned area within our facilities. This fast-paced role requires clear communication and teamwork to keep outages on track.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 5+ years in an industrial manufacturing environment or.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred for this role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proven leadership and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and initiate work orders for mechanical and E/I outages.
• Procure equipment, materials, and outside services focusing on fixed-price packages.
• Manage repairs, purchases, invoices, and receipts for outage work.
• Develop and update job plans for specific repairs and equipment.
• Audit and retain shop papers and job history forms for mechanical maintenance.
• Communicate daily activities and priorities with Area Coordinators and Mechanical FLS.
