Job summary

Allentown School District is seeking a High School Principal to lead instructional programs, staff development, and student achievement improvements at the Administration Center in Allentown, PA. The role requires a Master's in educational leadership, PA principal certification, and a track record of urban school administration.

Salary range is $132,318 – $185,246, with comprehensive benefits and a focus on data-driven turnaround strategies, collaboration with parents and community stakeholders,

Qualifications

• Master's degree with a major in educational leadership, educational supervision, or related field; doctorate preferred.
• Eligible or hold a Pennsylvania Principal Certification.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a school administrator, preferably in an urban, turnaround, and/or high-needs environment.
• Satisfactory work record & criminal/child abuse clearances (Acts 34 and 151).

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates educational, administrative, and counseling activities to improve student achievement.
• Collaborates to establish clear approaches to measuring student growth and ensures opportunities for college/post-secondary access.
• Provide transformational leadership to plan, launch, and manage turnaround processes in underperforming schools.
• Build a positive school culture and climate supporting the whole student.
• Use data to drive initiatives and instructional improvements across the school.
• Develop and implement a rigorous evaluation system for staff with data-informed decisions.
• Coordinate instructional improvement systems aligned to standards, assessments, curriculum, and resources.

Education

Master's degree in educational leadership or related field

Pennsylvania Principal Certification eligibility

3+ years of experience as school administrator (urban/turnaround)
