Job summary

Evonik is seeking a Turnaround Coordinator to manage the preparation, scoping, analysis of work orders and project scope for plant turnarounds. You will support scheduling, risk management, and coordination with maintenance, production, and technical resources to ensure safe, reliable, and available operations.

The role requires deep experience in maintenance/planning, SAP proficiency, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams through preparation and execution phases, ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• 10+ years in maintenance/planning or a related operations role with maintenance influence.
• Associate degree in a technical field preferred; Engineering degree considered with 2+ years in maintenance.
• SAP experience required; RCA, Microsoft Project, and Intools experience preferred.
• Able to work independently with high initiative and strong self-starting skills.
• Capable of prioritizing and adjusting priorities per site and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Define and Review Turnaround Scopes in collaboration with plant engineer and maintenance teams.
• Review Job Packages to confirm planning completeness and material requirements.
• Ensure safety and risk management through proper permits and controls.
• Prepare and schedule turnaround activities for efficient execution.
• Lead Turnaround update meetings to align stakeholders on progress and priorities.
• Coordinate with Operations to ensure permits, documentation, and processes are compliant.
• Coordinate shutdown activities including maintenance tasks and project activities.
