Job summary

Turn is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Columbia, SC to inspect, repair, and maintain homes, ensuring tenant satisfaction and smooth turnovers. You will proactively address issues and uphold high service standards.

You will travel daily to properties, perform carpentry, painting, and general repairs. HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing experience is a plus; own truck/van and tools are required. Benefits include guaranteed 40 hours, mileage reimbursement, and a quarterly bonus.

Qualifications

3+ years hands-on residential maintenance (painting, cleaning, carpentry).
Own a truck or van and have your own hand tools (tool reimbursement + $0.76/mile).
Valid driver’s license; live within reasonable distance of city.
Background check; crawlspaces, slab houses, 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and repairs with a primary focus on property turnovers (turns).
Travel from home to home within your metro daily.
Conduct property inspections, secure homes, and complete vacancy/wellness checks.
Handle minor pre-renovation repairs, utility inspections, and basic troubleshooting.
Manage move-in/out meetings and property turnovers.
Turn homes (repairing/light renovation between tenants) is a must.
