Job summary

Greensboro Parks and Recreation in Greensboro is seeking a hands-on Crew Supervisor for Turf Maintenance to lead a crew of 8–10 employees. You’ll supervise daily field work, coordinate schedules, monitor performance, and help keep our athletic fields safe, beautiful, and game-ready.

Minimum qualifications: high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, 1–3 years of athletic field maintenance with supervisory experience, Class A CDL and NC pesticide license (or obtain within 6 months).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• 1–3 years in athletic field maintenance with increasing responsibility.
• 1 year of supervisory experience required.
• Must obtain Class A CDL within 6 months of hire.
• Must obtain NC pesticide license within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of 8–10 Turf Maintenance staff.
• Develop daily and weekend work schedules.
• Assign and monitor work activities to meet priorities.
• Mow, line, drag, paint, and maintain athletic fields.
• Assist with irrigation repairs and maintenance.
• Promote safe work practices and staff development.
