Honeywell Aerospace US LLC seeks a Principal Engineer to shape turbomachinery engineering strategy, lead advanced analysis, testing, and modeling, and drive best practices across the organization.

You will report to the Engineering Manager in Torrance, guiding cross-functional teams and delivering high-reliability turbomachinery products while mentoring engineers and aligning projects with business goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in turbomachinery design and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials applicable to turbomachinery.
  • Proficiency in design and analysis software such as ANSYS or MATLab.

As a principal Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be part of shaping and driving the turbomachinery engineering strategy across our organization. Your leadership will be pivotal in developing and implementing best practices for turbomachinery design and analysis. Providing expert technical guidance to cross-functional teams, you will lead advanced engineering analysis, testing, and modeling to optimize product performance and reliability.

Your role encompasses the identification and mitigation of potential design risks throughout the product lifecycle. Collaboration with stakeholders to define and establish projects goals and metrics will be a key aspect of your responsibilities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in turbomachinery design and analysis
  • Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials applicable to turbomachinery.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools for design and analysis, such as ANSYS or MATLab.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and project management skills.

The annual base salary range for this position in California is $180,000- $225,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
