Job summary

Atlas Copco Mafi-Trench Company LLC seeks an Electromechanics Product Development Engineer to drive AMB and high-speed motor/generator innovations for turbomachinery. You will develop, verify, and optimize designs for expander and compressor applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver precise specifications and robust BOMs.

You will maintain CAD models, advance electromagnetic system expertise, and push for scalable manufacturing improvements while engaging with customers

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Specialized knowledge in rotordynamics, mechatronics, turbomachinery design.
• Experience with active magnetic bearing and high-speed drive systems.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools; SolidWorks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform R&D on AMB and high-speed motor/generator systems for expander and compressor applications.
• Prepare specifications, drawings, and BOMs with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain 3D CAD models and 2D drawings to meet performance and quality standards.
• Develop expertise in electromagnetic systems and stay current with market trends.
• Improve fabrication and assembly workflows for scalable, high-quality production.
• Provide guidance to internal teams on drive system applications and optimization.
• Represent Atlas Copco in technical discussions with customers and partners.
