Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in Indianapolis invites a Turbomachinery Component Design Engineer to join our Research and Technology group. This full-time hybrid role requires about three days onsite on average and relocation assistance is provided as needed.

You will design components and assemblies for engines, develop robust design definitions, and ensure on-time delivery. A Bachelor's in Engineering with 1+ year experience or a Masters/JD/PhD in Engineering are needed; US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or higher.
• 1+ years hands-on engineering experience OR Masters/JD/PhD in Engineering.
• Strong mechanical design and systems understanding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver design solutions for turbomachinery components and assemblies within system requirements.
• Apply model-based definition, robust design, and systems engineering methods.
• Create technical documents, ensure data integrity, and support sub-system integration.
• Analyze parts using analytic rules and automated workflows to meet specs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, customers, and partners to meet timelines.
