Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Component Design to design, produce, and test components for propulsion systems. The role focuses on defining component specifications from concept through demonstration testing, with hybrid work pattern (onsite ~3 days weekly) in Indianapolis, IN.

The candidate should have a engineering degree with 2+ years of gas turbine design experience, plus proficiency in NX and ANSYS.

Formación

• Bachelor’s in Engineering required with 2+ years of gas turbine engine design experience
• Master’s or PhD in Engineering are acceptable alternatives
• Security clearance eligibility (US citizenship) required

Responsabilidades

• Create component requirements documents and perform trade studies to optimize hardware
• Support creation of drawings and model-based definitions for hardware procurement
• Provide limits for engine and rig testing and assess test results and hardware
• Coordinate technical reviews and communicate solutions with customers
• Develop technical presentations and reports for delivered solutions
• Conduct subsystem and component trade studies for new products/architectures
• Generate analysis requirements and DFMEA risk assessments for owned components
