NRG Energy seeks an Operations & Maintenance Technician to operate and maintain a combined-cycle power facility. The role rotates on shift and involves troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems, reading meters, and coordinating with the LOMT.

Safety, compliance, and documentation are essential. The incumbent will use Maximo for work orders, support PLC-driven controls, perform water chemistry monitoring and process adjustments, and participate in preventive maintenance

Qualifications

• Mechanical, instrumentation and electrical knowledge is required.
• Ability to operate and maintain power plant equipment and read meters/gauges.
• Experience with Maximo CMMS and plant control systems preferred.
• Must be able to work shift hours, including overtime as needed.

Responsabilités

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair power plant equipment (gas turbine, steam turbine, generators, HRSG, pumps).
• Record data and report plant conditions; communicate issues during turnover.
• Perform water chemistry analysis and monitor chemical feed and blowdown as required.
• Use PLC and instrumentation to ensure safe, compliant plant operation.
• Follow safety, environmental, and regulatory procedures; maintain plant housekeeping.
