Job summary

POWER USA in the United States (TX, NM focus) seeks a Turbine Technician for Life Cycle Power to operate and maintain turbines in power generation or mechanical drive systems. You will monitor turbine operations, perform routine checks, and respond to abnormalities in performance and support equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Electrical or mechanical generation theory required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of gas turbine controls/instrumentation/electrical experience (GE LM/TM2500, Solar SMT60/130, FT8).
• Background check and preemployment drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe, efficient, continuous operation of gas turbine packages and related equipment.
• Monitor control panels, gauges, and instruments for performance.
• Coordinate fault-finding with supervisors and support groups.
• Evaluate equipment readiness after shut-down events.
• Manage power distribution and MV circuits terminations.
• Uphold safety rules, SOPs, and documentation of operations.
• Maintain daily operation logs and records.
• Lead troubleshooting on gas turbines and HMI.
• Utilize software tools to improve efficiency.
• Assist installation and commissioning of turbine packages.
• Perform walk-around visual checks.
• Support other duties to ensure smooth operations.
