Job summary

Boom Supersonic in Englewood, Colorado, is seeking a Compressor Design Engineer to lead the development of the Symphony compression system. As part of the Propulsion Team, you will design high-performance fan and compression systems integral to the Overture supersonic airliner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages.
• Design experience in axial turbomachinery including CFD.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the Symphony compression system.
• Design airfoils and flowpath via CFD analysis.
• Develop 1D meanline models and performance maps.

Skills

Proficiency in Python

Design experience in axial turbomachinery

High speed compressor airfoil design

Experience with engine cycle analysis tools

Ability to navigate CAD
