Job summary

Young Brothers, Inc. seeks a Tugboat Master to safely operate our vessels, directing crew and maintaining safety, seamanship, and efficiency in docking, undocking and towage across ports.

You will manage threat and schedules, supervise drills, ensure regulatory compliance, and act as liaison with customers and management. A US Coast Guard Master’s License (500 GRT or greater) and at least five years at sea are required; Hawaii operations experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of sea-going experience as a master.
• US Coast Guard Master's License, 500 GRT or Greater, Near Coastal, with Master of Towing Vessels endorsement.
• STCW 95 endorsement required.
• Familiar with shipyards, tugs, barges, and shore side management.

Responsibilities

• Captain responsible for safety of vessel and crew.
• Directs crew in vessel operations including navigation, training, and maintenance.
• Determines work schedules and routines.
