Job summary

Young Brothers is seeking a Tugboat Master responsible for the safe operation of the vessel and the welfare of the crew. The role involves managing various shipping operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing leadership to the crew.

Candidates must have a marine operations background, a minimum of 5 years’ sea-going experience as a master of towing vessels, and necessary licenses. Work is performed in a dynamic outdoor environment in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years sea-going experience as a master of towing vessels.
  • US Coast Guard Master’s License, 500 GRT or Greater.
  • Experience with shipyards, tugs, barges, and shore side management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage safe operation of the vessel and crew welfare.
  • Direct crew in vessel operations including navigation and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory policies.
