Job summary

IEA Renewable Energy is seeking a Fabrication Lead to supervise the Fabrication/Tube Mill crew. The Lead develops work plans with senior management, ensures quality and efficiency, and monitors labor and material costs across shifts.

Responsibilities include directing daily work, resolving equipment issues, training staff, and ensuring safety and ISO quality compliance. This role collaborates with engineering and planning teams and requires strong leadership in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of fabrication experience, including some time in a lead/supervisor role.
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of fabrication equipment, material characteristics, and structural fundamentals.
• Familiarity with ISO and quality standards in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time completion of the manufacturing schedule.
• Manage workload and provide staffing/hour proposals to management.
• Report on Key Performance Indicators at towers.
• Collaborate with Engineering to resolve drawing/design issues (ECR changes).
• Refine material and labor requirements with Methods and Inventory Manager.
• Oversee training of staff to maintain proficiency in area tasks.
