Job summary

Triumph Integrated Systems in Forest, Ohio, is seeking a Material Control associate for the 3rd shift to handle receipt, movement, stocking and shipping of materials. The role requires reading blueprints, using hand tools, and strict adherence to safety regulations.

Responsibilities include packing, shipping, inventory, and assisting in loading/unloading trucks. FAA safety compliance and the ability to train others are essential in this position.

Qualifications

  • Must read and write clearly and interpret measurements and readings.
  • Ability to read blueprints and work process instructions.
  • Ability to move parts and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a team and assist/train others.
  • Ability to use hand tools and inspect gauges.
  • Compliance with safety and health rules including respiratory protection if applicable.
  • Must comply with FAA safety requirements for safety-sensitive position.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain equipment for product movement.
  • Receive, deliver, stage and stock materials and products.
  • Prepare packaging materials, labels and shipping information.
  • Identify and report defective materials to supervision.
  • Pack, crate and ship products as required.
  • Receive goods and verify against purchase orders and shipping documents.
  • Maintain files and reports; take physical inventories as directed.

Triumph Integrated Systems - Electronics and Controls, located in Forest, Ohio, is a leading independent aerospace supplier of mission critical thermal and fluid management products for commercial and military platforms. The company provides solutions utilized on aircraft, engine, advance weapons pods, cruise missiles, avionics & electronic systems.

Scope of Job

Performs a range of common duties related to the receipt, movement and transportation, sorting and stocking, and preserving, packaging and shipping of all materials, supplies, and company products.

Education/Prerequisite Skills
  • Ability to read and write, interpret measurements and readings, exercise sound independent judgment.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and work process instructions.
  • Ability to move parts and equipment in a safe and practical manner.
  • Ability to relate to and interact appropriately with others in a team environment and a willingness to assist, educate and train others.
  • Ability to use hand tools and inspect gauges.
  • Consistently comply with all applicable safety and health rules and regulations including compliance with a respiratory protection program and hearing conservation, if applicable.
  • Must comply with FAA requirements for safety sensitive position.
  • Must have a high school diploma or a GED.
Duties: Essential Functions
  • Utilize and maintain various equipment necessary for product movement.
  • Transport, receive, deliver, stage and/or stock materials and product.
  • Select appropriate packaging materials, prepare labels and other pertinent information required for shipping instructions.
  • Detect and report defective materials and refer discrepancies to appropriate supervisor.
  • Perform all functions involved in packing, crating and shipping.
  • Receive incoming goods and reference against purchase orders and shipping documents.
  • Maintain all required files and reports.
  • Take physical inventories of stock and supplies as directed.
  • Assist in the loading and/or unloading of trucks.
  • Preserve, secure, wrap, and stock parts as necessary.
  • Perform any other material control related duties that are reasonable requests.
  • May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes (not over OSHA permissible exposure levels)
  • Ability to train other employees, as needed.
  • Maintains cleanliness of work place and equipment, free of FOD.
  • Powered Industrial Truck certification, required.
Duties: Marginal Functions
  • Maintain clean an orderly work area by sweeping and dusting floors, tables equipment, etc.
  • Move parts manually and/or with appropriate handling equipment.
