Job summary

Elanco is seeking a TSMS Scientist to provide operational and technical support for commercial and pilot lab operations at the Elwood, KS monoclonal antibody facility. This role focuses on tech transfer, scale-up, process optimization, validation, and continuous improvement of biologics manufacturing.

The candidate will collaborate with Manufacturing, Development, and Quality teams, support on-floor campaigns, troubleshoot deviations, and contribute to process understanding using JMP/Excel.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s in Bio/Pharmaceutical Technology, Microbiology, Engineering, or related.
• 3+ years of Biotech/Pharma experience with hands-on chromatography (Protein A or affinity) and TFF.
• Experience in tech transfer, scale-up, validation, change control, and on-floor manufacturing support.

Responsibilities

• Support upstream/downstream manufacturing processes for biologics.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Development, and Quality on studies and tech transfer programs.
• Provide on-floor support during manufacturing campaigns and investigations.
• Use data tools to improve process understanding and control.
• Prepare and review technical documents and SOPs.
