Job summary

Elanco in Elwood, Kansas is seeking a TSMS Scientist to provide on-site technical and operational support for commercial and pilot monoclonal antibody manufacturing. You will be the subject matter expert on mAb products and processes, engaging in tech transfer, scale-up, validation, and continuous improvement.

The role requires a Master's or Bachelor's in Bio/Pharmaceutical Technology or related field, 3+ years in biotech with chromatography, bioreactors, and TFF, plus data analysis and cGMP

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Bio/Pharmaceutical Technology, Microbiology, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in biotech/pharma with hands-on chromatography, bioreactor operation, and tangential flow filtration (TFF).
• Familiarity with data analysis tools such as JMP or Excel.
• Strong teamwork and cGMP knowledge in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-floor support during manufacturing campaigns, including troubleshooting and deviation investigations.
• Support upstream and/or downstream biologics processes (cell culture, purification).
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Development, and Quality on studies, investigations, validation, and tech transfer programs.
• Review batch records, SOPs, PFDs, risk assessments, investigations, and technical reports.
• Assist in change control processes (BOM updates, process changes).
• Apply statistical tools to improve process understanding and control.
