Job summary

Elanco, a global leader in animal health, seeks a Senior Scientist - TSMS Laboratory Lead for its Elwood, Kansas facility. You will directly manage the TSMS Laboratory team, oversee operations, and drive technical excellence while collaborating with QA, Engineering and R&D.

The role focuses on expanding site control strategies via DoE for monoclonal antibody processing, managing resources, and ensuring safety and compliance. Travel is minimal; relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• MS in Science, Pharmacy, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or Pharmaceutical Technology.
• 5+ years in biotech downstream process development or manufacturing with people management.
• Expertise in mAb processing and DoE for control strategy development.
• Strong project leadership and lab resource management.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and develop direct reports within the TSMS department, fostering technical excellence and accountability.
• Lead the design and execution of complex DoE to expand site control strategies and testing protocols.
• Serve as a primary technical liaison across QA, Engineering, and R&D for alignment on projects.
• Oversee laboratory maintenance, safety standards, and inventory management; represent the TSMS lab in audits.
