Command Cyber Solutions, LLC is seeking a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize VMware-based VDI for RRMC with 500+ users and multiple networks. You will work across security-aware environments to ensure reliable, secure desktop services and lifecycle management.

The role requires 5+ years of VDI experience, VMware Horizon expertise, and strong collaboration with system, network, and cybersecurity teams.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in IT, CS or Cybersecurity related field.
• VMware Horizon 8.x Professional certification.
• Minimum 5 years of VDI implementation and administration experience.

Responsabilités

• Deploy VMware/VDI infrastructure including engineering, planning, testing, coordinating and scheduling.
• Implement Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) in an environment with 500+ desktop and VPN users on 3 networks.
• Participate in and lead aspects of major network installations and upgrades.
• Interface with vendors to ensure resolution during outages or periods of reduced performance.
• Develop and implement testing strategies and document results.
• Respond to escalated requests for technical assistance.
• Provide advice and training to Tier 2 desktop support, Help Desk, and end-users.
• Respond to Remedy incident and change request tickets to implement standard level changes and troubleshoot/resolve incidents.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned.
• Participate in special projects as required.
• Develop/Document Techniques, Tactics & Procedures (TTPs) and Disaster Recovery plans.
• Develop and maintain a VDI Knowledge database on SharePoint.
• Interface with industry and other Government agencies to develop best practices in VDI implementations and deployments.
