Job summary

Appian is hiring a Customer Success Consultant to help our commercial clients design, develop and deploy software and AI solutions on the Appian platform. The role spans the full project life-cycle, collaborating with clients’ teams, and driving adoption of process applications at their facilities.

The position is based at Appian's headquarters in McLean, Virginia and requires a strong in-office presence, with travel up to 20% as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year hands-on software development or technical consulting.
• BS/BA in Engineering, CS, IS, Math or related field.
• Strong knowledge of OOP, relational databases, data modelling and SQL.
• Experience with API integration (REST, SOAP, JDBC) and cloud/AI tech.
• TDD and CD principles; agile, cross-functional teamwork.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% annually.
• TS:SCI clearance and SCIF work willingness.

Responsibilities

• Engage with post-sales customers to define and refine business processes and technical requirements.
• Design, develop and implement relational data models, APIs and integration points.
• Apply Appian AI capabilities to create AI-powered solutions.
• Work in an agile environment with team ceremonies.
• Collaborate with client teams to ensure solutions meet objectives and enable self-service adoption.
• Maintain and develop automated test suites within CI.
