Job summary

RTX seeks a Systems Engineer II for its Infrastructure Environment Management Team in Richardson, TX. You will design, configure, and manage development, I&T, system I&T, and performance test environments, interfacing with software engineers and automating tasks with scripts.

The role requires a STEM bachelor’s degree, 2+ years of related work, and active TS/SCI with CI Poly. Expect Linux administration, virtualization, and DevOps tool integration in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and at least 2 years of related experience.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe) and Linux administration.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, or Go.
• Security clearance type TS/SCI with CI Poly is required Day 1.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and manage infrastructure environments for development and I&T.
• Develop scripts to update and monitor system stability and usability.
• Troubleshoot Linux-based environments and integrate COTS/FOSS software.
• Collaborate across teams to support virtualization, cloud, and DevOps tooling.
