Job summary

Raytheon seeks a Systems Engineer II for our Infrastructure Environment Management Team in Richardson, TX. The role focuses on designing, configuring, and managing I&T and performance test environments in an onsite setting.

You will develop scripts, troubleshoot Linux-based systems, and collaborate to integrate COTS/FOSS within secure environments. Security clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).
• Administrative experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and VMware solutions.
• Programming experience in Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, or Go.
• Current CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Active and current TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance is required Day 1; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first line of defense in troubleshooting issues arising in multiple I&T environments.
• Interface with software engineers to document installation instructions and support I&T staff by modifying environments as required.
• Develop scripts using Bash, Perl, Ruby, or Python to update and monitor system stability and usability.
• Design, configure, and manage development, software I&T, system I&T, and performance test factory infrastructure environments.
• Troubleshoot applications and infrastructure on Linux-based operating systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate COTS and FOSS into systems.
