Job summary

General Dynamics IT is seeking a Systems Administrator to support our intelligence customer at Fort Belvoir, VA. The role requires TS/SCI clearance with CI poly eligibility and a strong background in UNIX/Windows systems and storage administration.

You will maintain, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise IT systems, collaborate with on-site and remote teams, and ensure security and reliability in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Security+ certification or DoW 8570 Level II equivalent within 90 days of hire.
• TS/SCI clearance required and eligibility to obtain CI Poly.
• Unix, Windows, and/or Storage administration.

Responsibilities

• System administration of desktop and server systems connected to LAN/WAN.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support and troubleshooting for IT systems and storage.
• Manage day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Install/load operating system and application software; apply patches and updates.
• Maintain backups, disaster recovery planning, and data integrity.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance windows with customers and ensure security per STIG guidelines.
• Collaborate on development, administration, and testing of backup and recovery plans.
