Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Systems Administrator Intermediate to support Army Intelligence enterprise IT at Fort Belvoir.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance and will involve implementing OS, troubleshooting, monitoring, and maintaining server and desktop systems across local and wide-area networks. You will perform routine audits, manage backups, coordinate with customers, and ensure security updates while delivering Tier 1 and Tier 2 support.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• 7+ years of related experience.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for IT systems and infrastructure.
• Knowledge of managing IT infrastructure components, operating systems, and application software.
• Security clearance level: TS/SCI.
• US citizenship is not required.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 CE Certification as determined by the Program Manager.
• IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification: Security+ or equivalent.
• Computing Environment certification: MSCA 2016, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or equivalent (AZ104 within 180 days).

Responsibilities

• Lead/Manage/Support: Installations and upgrades to OS and software with policy compliance.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues with team and customers.
• Monitor and tune systems for performance; manage backups and archives; develop SOPs.
• Maintain a hardware/software library with configurations and documentation.
• Administer desktop and server systems across LAN/WAN; manage security updates and OS installations.
• Provide IT systems support; troubleshoot and maintain systems.
• Ensure day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network/mobile devices.
• Deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, identify/diagnose/escalate issues.
• Configure and manage operating systems (UNIX/Windows) and applications.
• Improve OS performance and reliability via upgrades and configuration optimizations.
• Support hardware problem resolution and deployment; participate in major issue resolution.
• Integrate new technologies and manage transitions and migrations.
