Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Systems Administrator to support mission-critical DoD/Army IT environments at Aberdeen Proving Ground and Edgewood, MD. The role involves managing complex networks, cybersecurity, and technical support for a multi-year program valued over $600 million.

The ideal candidate holds a TS/SCI clearance, a strong technical background, and can lead projects while coordinating with stakeholders across diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems (advanced degree preferred).
• 3–10+ years of professional experience in systems administration.
• TS/SCI is required.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing large, multi-year programs or projects.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support daily operational requirements of computer network systems, including workstations, file servers, and web servers.
• Install, configure, and upgrade hardware, software, network accounts, and security tools.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and implement network security measures such as firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
• Design,update, andmanage web pages and local system documentation.
• Monitor system configuration, performance, and security, ensuring compliance with organizational and industry standards.
• Train staff on relevant software and provide technicalassistanceto users.
• Assistwith the development and enforcement of IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with CyberWorkForce(CWF) directives andmaintainrequired certifications as applicable.
