Job summary

CDW is seeking a System Administrator to support Windows-based systems in a secure federal environment. The role requires TS/SCI clearance and hands-on experience with enterprise Windows systems and AD, Group Policy, and patch management.

Responsibilities include server and desktop administration, account management, patching, and collaboration with cybersecurity, network, and engineering teams. Strong documentation and customer-service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required at time of hire.
• U.S. citizenship required due to federal contract and clearance requirements.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in systems administration, desktop/server support, or enterprise IT operations.
• Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server and Windows desktop environments.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, user permissions, and basic enterprise authentication concepts.
• Experience performing system patching, software installation, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance activities.
• Ability to follow change management, security, documentation, and operational procedures in a secure environment.
• Strong customer service, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Windows Server and Windows desktop systems across secure enterprise environments.
• Create, modify, and maintain user accounts, groups, permissions, OUs, and access controls within Active Directory.
• Apply approved system patches, updates, and configuration changes in accordance with maintenance procedures.
• Assist with Group Policy management, workstation configuration, software installation, and system baseline maintenance.
• Monitor system health, review logs, respond to alerts, and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Perform troubleshooting for hardware, software, OS, authentication, and connectivity issues.
