Job summary

CDW is seeking a Senior System Administrator to support mission-critical Windows-based infrastructure in a secure environment with TS/SCI clearance. You will administer Windows Server/Desktop, manage AD, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs, and ensure security compliance across classified networks.

You will lead system monitoring, patching, vulnerability remediation, and capacity planning, while automating tasks with PowerShell and coordinating with cybersecurity, network, and help desk teams.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required at the time of hire.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to federal contract and clearance requirements.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in systems administration, infrastructure operations, or enterprise IT support.
• Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft Windows Server and Windows workstation environments.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, domain services, user permissions, and enterprise authentication.
• Experience with virtualization platforms and software deployment tools; DoD compliance familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server and Windows desktop environments across secure networks.
• Manage AD DS, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and domain controller operations.
• Perform monitoring, patching, vulnerability remediation, and root-cause analysis.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and support Windows and server hardware and virtualization.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for builds, baselines, and deployments.
• Support compliance with security standards including DISA STIGs and change control.
• Provide Tier II/III support for escalated incidents.
• Use PowerShell to automate routine tasks and reporting.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity, network, and help desk teams; mentor junior admins.
