Job summary
BryceTech is seeking a Spectrum Engineer to support SDA in acquiring and deploying advanced space-based communications and transport capabilities. You will handle spectrum management, coordination, and authorization for SDA space and ground systems across government, industry, and contractors.
The role includes developing DD Form 1494 submissions, using NTIA/DoD tools such as EL‑CID, E2ESS, and Stepstone, and crafting frequency plans per NTIA Redbook and ITU rules to enable secure space
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance or eligibility and ability to maintain clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant spectrum management experience.
- Experience with DoD/federal spectrum management processes and DD Form 1494.
- Experience using DoD/NTIA spectrum management tools and ITU-related coordination.
Responsibilities
- Support spectrum certification and authorization activities for SDA space and ground systems.
- Develop and coordinate DD Form 1494 spectrum support requests through review processes.
- Coordinate frequency plans in accordance with NTIA Redbook and ITU regulations.
- Prepare Advanced Publication Information (API) packages for ITU coordination and protection of systems.
- Perform RF interference and EMC analyses to assess impacts on RF systems.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve interference and develop mitigation procedures.
- Support coordination with NASA/DoD/DoC and NTIA SPS groups and with various spectrum offices.
