Job summary

BryceTech LLC is seeking a Spectrum Engineer to support the SDA in acquiring and deploying space-based COMM/Spectrum capabilities. You will manage spectrum certification, DD1494 coordination, and API submissions, working across government, industry, and contractors.

Ideal candidates bring TS/SCI eligibility, DoD spectrum experience, and strong briefing skills, with tools like EL-CID, E2ESS, and Stepstone. This role requires close collaboration with multiple agencies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance or eligibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with DD Form 1494 preparation and coordination.
  • Experience with DoD/federal spectrum management processes.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a secret clearance.
  • Strong written and oral communication with government and industry stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of RF systems and spectrum-dependent communications.

Responsibilities

  • Support spectrum certification and authorization activities for SDA space and ground systems.
  • Develop and coordinate DD Form 1494 spectrum requests and shepherd documentation through reviews.
  • Use NTIA and DoD spectrum management tools (EL-CID, E2ESS, Stepstone)
  • Develop frequency plans per NTIA Redbook and ITU regulations
  • Submit API packages to support ITU coordination and protection of systems
  • Conduct RF interference and EMI analyses to assess impacts
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve interference concerns and mitigation procedures
  • Apply DoD NTIA Redbook footnotes for Link-16 and related systems
  • Coordinate with NASA-DoD-DoC and NTIA SPS groups
  • Engage with AFSMO, NMSC, SSC SMO and other spectrum bodies
  • Provide RF engineering support for space and ground systems
  • Develop technical analyses, reports and briefings for leadership
  • Participate in interagency meetings and coordinate with stakeholders
  • Track spectrum actions and mitigate delays
  • Provide additional spectrum management support as needed
