Job summary

Insight Global in Dayton, OH seeks a TS/SCI-cleared Software Engineer for a contract-to-hire role. You will develop backend apps and APIs in Python/Flask, build secure, scalable systems with auth controls, and manage CI/CD pipelines.

You’ll deploy containerized apps, monitor performance, and contribute to Agile processes and docs. Requirements include 3+ years in software engineering, Python proficiency, and experience with Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift, Git, and databases.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Security clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree or 6 years of experience in lieu of.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Experience working with Git.
• Knowledge of databases and data modeling (SQL/ORM; PostgreSQL/MySQL). Master’s degree.
• Experience with Go.
• DevOps experience.
• Experience with Terraform/Ansible and secret managers (Vault or cloud-native equivalents).
• Familiarity with OAuth2/OIDC, SSO, and API gateway patterns.
• Experience with SAST/DAST/SCA tooling and SBOM practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications, APIs, and services using Python and Flask.
• Build secure, scalable solutions with authentication and access controls.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and code quality processes.
• Develop automated testing frameworks and testing practices.
• Deploy and support containerized applications using Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues; support incident response.
• Contribute to Agile development activities and maintain technical documentation.
