Job summary

Insight Global, in the Dayton, Ohio area, seeks a TS/SCI Full Stack Software Engineer for a contract-to-hire role. You will design and implement features across front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) and back-end microservices (Python/Java/Node.js), build API frameworks, and deploy containerized apps on AWS/Azure with IaC tools.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM preferred.
• 4+ years of hands-on full-stack software development experience.
• Experience with Python, C++, Java, or another OO language.
• Experience with at least one front-end framework (React, Angular, or Vue) or HTML/CSS/JS.
• Experience developing and consuming APIs (REST/ gRPC/GraphQL).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience deploying to AWS or Azure cloud environments.
• Experience with CI/CD automation (GitLab/GitHub/Jenkins).
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, SQLite).
• Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, or Kafka/SNS-SQS.
• Experience integrating synthetic data, analytic models, or ML pipelines.
• Experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
• Familiarity with user-centered design or reusable component libraries.
• Hands-on AI augmented development workflows or multi-agent tools.

Responsibilities

An employer in the Dayton, Ohio area is seeking a TS/SCI Full Stack Software Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This individual will play a key role in designing and implementing end-to-end features across modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue, and back-end microservices using Python, Java, or Node.js. Responsibilities include building and enhancing API frameworks (REST, FastAPI, gRPC, GraphQL), developing scalable, containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, and supporting cloud-based deployments in AWS or Azure with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. The engineer will also contribute to DevSecOps best practices, including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and security integration, while actively participating in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, code reviews, and user-focused design discussions. Additionally, they will support the integration of data and machine learning-driven components into mission workflows and troubleshoot issues across the full stack to improve overall system performance. This position requires working onsite five days per week and an active TS/SCI clearance.

Skills and Requirements

Active TS/SCI Security clearance

Bachelor’s Degree (STEM preferred)

4+ years of hands on full stack software development experience

Python, C++, Java, or another modern object oriented language experience

Experience with at least one front end framework (React, Angular, or Vue) or direct familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Experience developing and consuming FastAPI, REST/gRPC or GraphQL APIs

Experience with Docker and familiarity with Kubernetes

Experience deploying to AWS or Azure cloud environments

Experience with GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins CI/CD automation

Experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases (such as: PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, or SQLite, etc.) Master’s Degree

Experience with microservices patterns, event driven architectures, or message queues (Kafka, SNS/SQS)

Experience integrating synthetic data, analytic models, or ML pipelines into applications

Experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch or distributed search systems

Familiarity with user centered design or reusable component libraries

Hands on experience with AI augmented development workflows or agentic tools, such as Codex, Claude Code, or OpenCode or other multi-agent approach
