Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer to lead the lifecycle of SATCOM prototypes, including architecture, integration, testing, and fielding of advanced SIGINT systems.

Travel up to 25% to operational and field locations to install and support systems. The role requires a TS/SCI clearance, a strong background in RF engineering, and experience with satellite communications systems, IP networking, and technical documentation.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance
• 8 years of experience in related fields
• Experience engineering, integrating, testing, or operating SATCOM/RF/wireless/tactical systems
• Knowledge of satellite communications architecture and RF signal chains
• Ability to develop and interpret system diagrams and technical procedures
• Experience with field installation, setup, operation, troubleshooting, and repair of communications systems
• Working knowledge of IP networking (routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, addressing)
• Ability to travel regularly and perform field work in austere environments

Responsibilities

• Lead the systems engineering lifecycle for SATCOM prototypes from requirements through integration, fielding, test, sustainment, and transition
• Develop system architectures, interface definitions, block diagrams, network diagrams, RF diagrams, BOMs, baselines, and procedures
• Design and integrate deployable SATCOM systems including antennas, LNBs/BUCs, amplifiers, modems, waveguides, cabling, and compute platforms
• Travel to operate, test, and maintain SATCOM prototype systems at various locations
• Create and maintain operator manuals, installation guides, troubleshooting guides, maintenance procedures, quick-reference cards, and training materials

Education

BS in systems engineering, electrical engineering, telecommunications, computer engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline
