Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Security Assistant II on-site at Chantilly, VA. The role supports personnel security processes, database maintenance, and liaison work with government agencies and industrial partners.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with current version of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated customer service and telephone skills.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Interface between Government agencies and industrial organizations for obtaining, processing, verifying, and disseminating personnel security information and access to customer programs
• Maintain accurate personnel data in all files
• Update the customer database
• Conduct an annual file audit
• Maintain accuracy of customer’s database records, e.g., briefing and debriefing dates
• Prepare, as directed, cases for expedited requests from PSO and/or PSM
• Support security clearance reciprocity efforts for access to customer programs
• Utilize multiple IC databases
• Maintain confidentiality of assets and information pertaining to personnel security
• Ability to elicit, articulate, and document information in a well-organized manner
• Participates in special projects as required.
