Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Network Engineer to support an Intelligence Community customer across WAN/LAN/CAN environments. The role demands TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph and experience with DoD architectures and Juniper devices.

You will coordinate maintenance, perform network analyses, and develop roadmaps while ensuring security compliance across multiple security domains.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years hands-on experience with network and transport technologies.
• 4+ years supporting large-scale enterprise networks.
• Active 8570/8140 IAT II certification required.
• Working knowledge of DoD Architecture Framework and DoW guidance.
• Experience with Juniper devices and cryptographic equipment.
• Proficiency with network analysis tools (HP/NNA, NNM, Juniper S.A., Infoblox, Riverbed).
• Experience with Juniper firewall/VPN technologies (SRX).
• IP services for NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS (IPv4/IPv6, VPN, QoS, SDN, SNMP, VOIP, VTC).
• Strong routing policy and VPN frameworks knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate system maintenance, monitoring, and installation across WAN/LAN.
• Research, recommend, and implement enterprise network capabilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with network media and connectivity.
• Evaluate and monitor network health, performance, and hardware/software effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain technical roadmaps for network capabilities and tech.
• Create and execute test plans and documentation for network changes.
• Support network traffic analysis and bandwidth optimization.
• Assess and provide recommendations on emerging technologies.
• Represent customer requirements during technical exchanges with partner agencies.
• Conduct site surveys for new installations and refresh initiatives.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot satellite communications equipment.
• Create and maintain network architecture diagrams.
