Job summary

Amentum seeks a Mid-Level Network Engineer to design, implement, and troubleshoot robust network and network security architectures supporting DoD DISA programs. The role requires TS clearance with SCI eligibility and a BS in IT or equivalent experience.

You will work in a SCIF environment, travel up to 20%, and collaborate with IA Security Engineers to validate designs against STIGs, while maintaining high availability of LAN/WAN operations and security tooling.

Qualifications

CCNP certification required or equivalent
Experience with IS-IS/OSPF, MP-BGP underlays/overlays and MPLS (RSVP-TE, LDP, SR-MPLS)
Experience with routing policy and redistribution
Experience with DMVPN and SD-WAN
Experience with STP variations and circuit provisioning
Experience with network security technologies (SSH, IPsec, RADIUS, TACACS+, firewall NAT)
Proficient with MS Office applications

Responsibilities

Design, build and troubleshoot network and network security architecture.
Troubleshoot and validate LAN/WAN operations and security tooling.
Coordinate with IA Security Engineers to meet DISA STIG requirements.
Create and update technical documentation for integration projects.
Provide implementation documentation and templates for deployment and sustainment of network equipment and services.
Identify and diagnose complex performance, security, and technical issues.
