Job summary

D2 Technical Services is seeking a Network Engineer to support an Intelligence Community customer across WAN, LAN, and CAN networks in a multi-domain environment. Travel up to 15% locally and possibly further CONUS/OCONUS on a voluntary basis.

You will focus on network engineering, new projects, and operation and sustainment of existing infrastructure, ensuring security compliance and active collaboration with government partners.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• 8+ years of network/transport technology experience.
• 4+ years in large-scale enterprise/global networks.
• Knowledge of DoD Architecture Framework and related DoD instructions.
• Experience with Juniper MX/EX/QFX/SRX, cryptographic KG-175G/F/X and KG-142.
• Experience with network analysis tools and IP services across NIPRNET/SIPRNET/JWICS.
• Familiarity with L2/L3 VPNs, IPsec, GRE, OSPF/BGP/MPLS, QoS, SNMP, SYSLOG, AAA.
• Planning hardware for new site installations and network diagrams.
• Certifications: IAT II.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance, monitoring, and installation of WAN/LAN/CAN environments.
• Research and implement enterprise network solutions to support mission goals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network media and components.
• Evaluate health and performance of the network hardware and management software.
• Develop and maintain a road map for capabilities, operations, and technologies.
• Create test plans and supporting documentation for configuration upgrades.
• Support network traffic analysis and bandwidth optimization efforts.
• Evaluate and report on new/emerging network technologies to enhance capacity and reliability.
• Recommend changes/address performance and industry best practices.
• Follow customer security processes and policies; represent requirements in technical exchanges.
• Perform site surveys for new installations and technology refresh.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot satellite communications equipment.
• Develop and maintain network architecture diagrams.
