Job summary

D2 Technical Services in Springfield, VA is seeking a Network Engineer with an active TS/SCI to support WAN/LAN/CAN networks across multiple security domains. Travel up to 15% to local sites and potentially CONUS/OCONUS locations.

Responsibilities include maintaining, researching, and deploying enterprise network solutions, troubleshooting, documenting configurations, and ensuring security processes comply with government policies.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• 8+ years of related technical experience in Network and Transport technologies, tools, and techniques.
• 4+ years’ experience with large-scale enterprise/global networks in a high-paced diverse environment.
• Understanding and experience with the DoD Architecture Framework and related DoD network architecture guidance.
• Experience with Juniper, switches, routers, and firewalls (MX, EX, QFX, SRX) and cryptographic devices (KG-175G/F/X, KG-142).
• Experience with network analysis tools and supporting IP services to connect to NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS.
• Experience with switching/LAN/L2 technologies, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VRFs, IKE/IPSec, GRE, QoS, SNMP, SYSLOG, AAA.
• Certifications: IAT II; CISSP; CCNP/CCNA/CCDP or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance, monitoring and installation of WAN/LAN environments across multiple sites.
• Assist with research and implementation of enterprise network solutions to support goals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network media and components.
• Monitor health and performance of network hardware and management software.
• Develop and maintain roadmaps for capabilities, operations, and technologies.
• Prepare test plans and documentation for network configuration upgrades.
• Support network traffic analysis and bandwidth optimization.
• Evaluate new technologies to enhance capacity and reliability.
• Recommend changes for performance and standardization.
