Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Tier 2 Metrology Technician on-site at a government facility. You will develop metrology policies, manage calibration schedules, and ensure alignment with customer objectives. A strong background in metrology and ANSI/ISO standards is required.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in metrology/calibration, 3+ years of Tier 2 experience, and TS/SCI with polygraph. US citizenship is required for this full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains metrology policies and procedures.
• Manages the development and administration of metrology schedule and calibration requirements.
• Oversee metrology processes to meet customer mission objectives.
• Keeps informed of new metrology technologies and trends and advises on implementation.
• Maintains knowledge of ANSI/NCSL Z540, ANS/ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
• Oversees vendor relationships and billing reconciliations.
• Provides guidance to ensure metrology needs align with customer requirements.
• Participates in special metrology projects as required.
