Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Tier 3 Metrology Senior Technician to support mission-critical government projects. The role focuses on developing and maintaining metrology policies, procedures, and calibration schedules to meet customer objectives.

You will stay current with ANSI/NCSL Z540, ISO 17025, and related standards while overseeing metrology processes, vendor relations, and project requirements on a full-time, on-site basis at a government facility.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor1 degree or equivalent in metrology and calibration
• Experience: 5+ years of related Tier 3 metrology experience
• Technical skills: metrology techniques, metrology software, and calibration of various test and measurement equipment assets and tools
• Security clearance level: TS/SCI with polygraph
• US citizenship required
• Role requirements: Full time / onsite at Government facility

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains metrology policies and procedures and ensures they support customer mission requirements and objectives.
• Manages the development and administration of metrology schedule and calibration requirements; may have budget responsibilities.
• Oversee metrology process to meet customer mission objectives effectively and economically.
• Manages vendor relationships and billing reconciliations.
• Provides guidance and solutions to ensure metrology needs align with customer mission requirements.
• Participates in special metrology projects as required
