Qualifications

• Experience in spacecraft primary/secondary structures, mechanisms, and instruments.
• Proficient with CAD tools: Siemens NX (required), CATIA or Creo.
• Familiar with ASME Y14.100-2017 for drawings and ASME Y14.5-2018 GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Design engineer for a spacecraft, instrument, or robotic project.
• Create complex CAD models, assemblies and drawings.
• Collaborate with world-class engineers in a highly collaborative environment.
• Develop configuration trades for the mechanical system of a spacecraft project.
• Interface with space science experts, analysts, manufacturing engineers, and project staff.
• Perform conceptual spacecraft design for feasibility and cost estimates.
