Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Colorado is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to support large, classified government contracts. You will manage multi-user systems, coordinate with network, software, and IT management, and implement improvements for reliability and security.

Required: TS/SCI with CI poly, 1 year of RHEL server administration, DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+ CE) or achievable within 6 months, ability to lift 40 lb, and willingness to work off shifts/overtime.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph at time of application.
• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience or Master’s with 0 years (or 4+ years in lieu).
• At least 1 year of server administration experience with RHEL.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Ability to lift equipment up to 40 pounds and work off shifts/out overtime.

Responsibilities

• Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems and coordinate with teams.
• Recommend and implement system enhancements for performance and reliability.
• Create/modify user accounts, permissions, and security ACLs.
• Maintain security audit and logging as directed by ISSM.
• Maintain VMware/virtualization infrastructure and apply quarterly patches.
• Other duties as assigned.
