Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Morrisville, NC, is seeking a Principal/Sr Principal Linux Systems Administrator to support classified government contracts. The role requires on-site work, a TS/SCI clearance with a recent polygraph, and strong Linux server administration capabilities.

You will manage multiple networks, implement STIGs on Linux systems, and coordinate with engineers, security teams, and project managers to ensure reliable operations, backups, and security compliance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 3+ years IT experience; OR a Bachelor's with 5+ years IT experience; OR an Associate's with 7+ years IT experience; OR a High School Diploma/GED with 9 years IT experience.
• Must have Security+ CE or equivalent IAT level II cert to be considered.
• Experience with Linux Server Administration in a classified environment is required.
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining resources in an AWS cloud environment needed.
• Must have experience implementing STIGs on Linux systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform as a Sr Principal/Principal Linux Admin for classified government contracts.
• Maintain operations of multi-user systems with engineers, technicians, and management.
• Provide backup, recovery, patching, monitoring, and configuration management.
• Develop technical documentation of system processes and procedures.
• Adhere to IS security guidelines and assist with security auditing and logging.
