Job summary

Vantor Holdings, Inc. is seeking a GIS DevOps Engineer to build the engine behind the map, delivering robust services for geospatial data at scale. The role requires active TS/SCI with CI poly and U.S. citizenship, with on-site work in Herndon, VA or St. Louis, MO.

You will design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters, implement IaC, and build CI/CD pipelines. Collaboration with security, dev, and ops teams is essential for reliability and governance in a SCIF environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with TS/SCI with CI poly.
• Minimum of 4 years of total professional experience in a technical support role.
• Demonstrated technical experience with DevSecOps.
• Demonstrated experience working with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Demonstrated experience with Red Hat OpenShift.
• Proficiency in container technologies such as Docker or CRI-O.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Open source and custom application deployments and maintenance experience.
• Capable of working effectively with a geographically distributed ops & development team.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers and team in written and oral forums.
• Willingness to work 90% or on-call in a SCIF environment in Herndon, VA or St. Louis, MO.
• Degree or equivalent demonstrated experience in a technical field.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters across cloud and/or on-prem environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support containerized application delivery.
• Implement infrastructure as code.
• Monitor platform performance, availability, and security; respond to incidents and optimize systems.
• Develop and maintain platform tooling, automation, and self-service capabilities.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to improve platform usability and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security and governance standards.
• Communicate with multidisciplinary SAFe Agile teams and articulate technical concepts and ideas effectively.
