Job summary

Vantor is seeking a GIS DevOps Engineer to design and deliver robust, scalable services for geospatial data ingestion, storage, and querying at scale. You’ll work with Kubernetes and OpenShift across cloud/on-prem environments and build CI/CD pipelines to deliver containerized apps.

The role requires TS/SCI with CI poly, and the ability to work in a SCIF, with distributed teams and strong security governance collaboration. Based in Herndon, VA or St. Louis, MO.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with active TS/SCI with CI poly (or willingness to obtain CI poly).
• 4+ years of total professional experience in a technical support role.
• Experience with DevSecOps and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift and container technologies (Docker or CRI-O).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Ability to work effectively with geographically distributed teams and communicate clearly.
• Willingness to work 90% or as needed in a SCIF environment in Herndon, VA or St. Louis, MO.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters across cloud and/or on-prem environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support containerized application delivery.
• Implement infrastructure as code.
• Monitor platform performance, availability, and security; respond to incidents and optimize systems.
• Develop and maintain platform tooling, automation, and self-service capabilities.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to improve platform usability and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security and governance standards.
• Communicate with multidisciplinary SAFe Agile teams and articulate technical concepts clearly.
