Job summary

Vantor is seeking a seasoned full stack software engineer to support geospatial intelligence workflows, data processing, and AI/ML initiatives in a TS/SCI environment in Herndon, VA. The role demands designing scalable solutions and leading projects across cloud, containers, and DevSecOps practices.

You will collaborate with diverse teams to deliver mission-critical software, handle ELT tasks, and enrich large geospatial datasets while advancing modern security standards and deployment

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship and TS/SCI clearance required.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
3+ years leading design/architecture of new or existing systems.
5+ years hands-on programming experience (Python, Java, Go, Rust, etc.).
Experience with data extraction, manipulation, visualization, and analysis of large datasets.
Experience designing cloud-based architectures (AWS, C2S).
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in cloud or hybrid environments.
Demonstrated ability to lead small engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, efficient solutions for mission-critical applications.
Lead all phases of the development lifecycle from planning to maintenance.
Apply standards to produce high-quality, extensible software.
Work with cloud stacks to extract, manipulate, and visualize geospatial-temporal data.
Develop analytics/derivative data products to aid user insights.
Proactively troubleshoot and solve issues.
Collaborate with diverse engineers, clients, and users.
