Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a TS/SCI-cleared DevOps Software Engineer to build and deploy a full-stack, containerized platform supporting DoD/IC data discovery modernization. The role is primarily on-site in Bethesda, MD, with occasional remote work for some tasks.

The engineer will deploy and maintain a production data pipeline on Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka, while enhancing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation, and ensuring scalable, secure infrastructure across environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or Master's with 6+ years.
DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification required.
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.

Responsibilities

Deploy, triage, and maintain a production big data pipeline built on Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation.
Design and support scalable, redundant infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.
Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features.
Collaborate with Systems Engineers to architect solutions for new capabilities.
Contribute technical input to engineering documentation and models.
Participate in Agile release planning, scrums, design sessions, and bug triage.
Collaborate with multiple teams across development, security, and operations.
